Location, medical notes, children’s ages, and exact trip plans are sensitive. Emergency details store only with your checkbox.
IJA does not sell location or safety data. Analytics stay off unless you opt in.
Approximate location, if you grant it, is used once to set a start pin. Precise location is not requested. Background location is not requested. We do not permanently store precise coordinates unless you save a trip that includes the start pin you chose.
Live snapshots are fetched from: National Weather Service (forecast/alerts for a coordinate), Utah Fire Info / FFSL GIS (restriction orders), NIFC WFIGS (incident points and fire perimeters), UDOT Traffic (511 public map feed, WZDx work zones, and the developer API only if a server-side key is configured), and Utah SITLA/UGRC land ownership. Those services receive a destination or corridor coordinate — not your name.
